Fabulous Whipped Body Butter
I am familiar with making Body Butter, but I never took the extra time to whip it, but boy is it worth it! This recipe is as fluffy and delightful as it looks. And while there is a waiting period in the middle while the melted ingredient chill, it isn’t any more difficult than a regular Body Butter.
Fabulous Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients:
1 cup mango butter (feel free to substitute shea butter or cocoa butter)
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup jojoba oil (in a bind you can use grape seed or sweet almond oil)
50 drops of high quality essential oils of your choice (where I get mine) Some of my favorite essential oil combos are:
Treat Yo Self
15 drops frankincense
15 drops myrrh
20 drops Ylang ylang
Smooth as a baby’s bottom
(this one is great for both babies and those who want their skin to feel like a baby’s)
10 drops lavender
20 drops gentle baby
10 drops roman chamomile
10 drops frankincense
Woodland Nymph
10 drops northern lights black spruce
10 drops blue spruce
20 drops Idaho balsam fir
10 drops Copaiba
Delicate as a fairy
5 drops rose
15 drops lavender
10 drops jade lemon
10 drops jasmine
10 drops ylang ylang
Melt mango Butter, coconut oil and jojoba oil in a double boiler (or Bea like me and use a glass Pyrex bowl over a saucepan of boiling water), stirring gently. Once melted add essential oils and mix. Place in the fridge until it turns a creamy color. This can take an hour or two, so plan accordingly. Once it is a cream color and no longer translucent, scrape into your mixer and whip on high for 10 minutes or until it looks like whipped cream and forms peaks. Enjoy this fabulous Whipped Body Butter!!!
