Orange Chocolate Fresh Fruit Truffles
I will admit to having bought chocolate covered blueberries (and chocolate covered everything else) in the past, but this recipe brings it to a whole new level, because the fruit is fresh, not dried and it has no refined sugars and coconut oil is a very healthy fat. It’s just good on every level. It’s paleo, primal, vegan and delicious.
Orange Chocolate Fresh Fruit Truffles
- 1/2 cup extra virgin coconut oil
- 1/8 cup of honey or maple syrup (or more to taste)
- 1/4 cup raw cacao
- 6 drops of Orange Essential Oil (only use therapeutic or food grade oil)
- Fresh fruit of your choice (blueberries, strawberries and cherries are all amazing)
Mix coconut oil, honey, raw cacao and Orange EO in a bowl. Make sure your coconut oil is NOT completely liquid when you start or your honey will not mix in and will sink to the bottom of your truffles. Once these ingredients are mixed, pour into silicone molds (you can also spoon onto a cookie sheet, they just won’t be as pretty), drop your fruit in and put in the freezer for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes remove the Orange Chocolate Fresh Fruit Truffles and EAT. You will love how the chocolate it hard, but the fresh fruit bursts in your mouth all juicy and delicious. Comment below and tell us which fruit you used and how you liked them.

Okay, looks amazing, but my curiosity is killing me… Why does the coconut oil have an asterisk??
