Belly Butter
Belly Butter is essential to my happiness when pregnant. Anything to help that skin stretch gently without leaving marks and to keep it supple and smooth! Fortunately it’s easy to make a lovely, non-toxic belly butter with a few simple ingredients.
What you need for Belly Butter
½ cup shea butter
½ cup coconut oil
¼ cup beeswax
¼ cup almond oil
20 drops frankincense essential oil
20 drops geranium essential oil
20 drops lavender essential oil
Melt the shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler over medium heat until completely liquid, stirring often. Then remove from heat and add the almond oil, vitamin e and essential oils. Mix well and pour into desire containers. This belly butter is incredibly moisturizing and nourishing and can also be applied as a nipple ointment after birth for comforting the nipples between nursing. Can be applied as frequently as desired.
Be sure to use high quality essential oils that you can trace the source. Many essential oils sold in stores have traces of heavy metals, synthetics and carrier oils (Where I get my essential oils), which may be harmful to you or your baby.
Frankincense is known for helping with stretching skin and reducing the appearance of lines and scars, geranium supports and nourishes the skin and lavender soothes and comforts.

Are you using vitamin E oil in the recipe? I’m only finding vitamin E in capsules or oil form. Thanks!

Very helpful post for pregnant women’s. Women’s suffer from stretch marks during pregnancy. And it look like ugly and not easily gone. This belly butter procedure helps them a-lot. I used “Burt’s Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter” and this is also very effective. But in future, I’ll use this home-made remedy of belly butter. Thanks for sharing.
