Butter Coffee – Because everything is better with butter. And coffee.

butter coffee

I am a big fan of butter. And coffee. But butter coffee? That’s crazy. Crazy AWESOME, that is.

Butter is a great source of naturally saturated fats and is an incredibly nutrient dense food, especially if it comes from grass fed cows. I always try to use grass fed butter and add it to many different foods… which is healthy and DELICIOUS. I had heard whisperings among the foodie community of people putting butter in their coffee and to be honest that sounded a little weird. Wouldn’t it melt and be oily at the top?

Recently I discovered bulletproof coffee and that totally rocked my world. It was amazing. The trick with that is blending everything in the blender. So when I ran out of coconut oil and couldn’t follow the recipe anymore I thought it might be time to try butter coffee. Time indeed.

The result was successful and delicious. Wanna try for yourself?

1 TBSP grass fed butter

1 tsp vanilla

1 TBSP cream

a pinch of stevia or other sweetener (optional)

1 cup coffee (already brewed)

Blend everything in your blender for 30 seconds, pour and drink! Delicious. Please try it and come back and tell me how you like it!!!
