Packing for our Epic Road Trip adventure!
Today is Day 1 of our Epic Road Trip Adventure! But the preparations began last week when we pulled all of the camping gear out of the shed to take stock of what we had and what we needed. We set up the tents in the back yard to see if they were in good condition and had the kids help in putting them together and taking them apart.
We packed a first aid kit with bandages, cold packs, essential oils, activated charcoal and garlic oil. Ready for illnesses and emergencies.
We packed our bags. Each person was allowed a backpack or personal items, which equaled about 3 changed of clothes and a jacket, which had to fit under their seat, because the back was full of camping gear and food (we plan on eating real food along the way, not fast food and junk). We fit all of our stuff in the back like tetris and we are READY TO ROLL!
We made use of the essential oils immediately as I have a head cold which makes breathing difficult. Since I am rather fond of breathing, we put Thieves and Purification oils in the diffuser in the car. Awesome.
Our first day was a short one, but it allowed us to stop and visit one of my best friend’s from high school. The little ones napped the whole way. We enjoyed an amazing road trip CD mix from my friend Ruth. Eclectic, kid friendly and fun! Epic Road Trip Adventure Day One = Success!
Feel free to follow us as we journey across the Pacific Northwest!
