Super Chocolate Avocado Mousse. Primal, (Paleo option) with no refined sugars or grains

I am a huge fan of avocados. I will eat them plain, with salt or in any other kind of dish. The idea of avocados as a sweet treat is relatively new to me, but I discovered the concept while using the Practical Paleo cookbook by Dianne Sanfilippo. She has a simple chocolate mousse recipe that we loved. I have adapted my recipe from hers and added my own twist. My recipe is a family size, but you can half the ingredients if you need to make less.

Super Chocolate Avocado Mousse Recipe (Family size)

4 Avocados

4 ripe bananas

2 TBSP Vanilla

1tsp Sea Salt (I order salt from this company)

1/2 cup softened cream cheese (for a paleo option use 1/2 cup of coconut cream instead)

3/4 cup cacao or unsweetened cocoa (read here about how good cacao is for you!)

1/2 cup of raw honey, grade B maple syrup or other natural sweetener of choice. You can add more sweetener if you need to. This is exactly how I liked mine, but my kids liked it when I added a little bit more maple syrup.

Put all ingredients in your mixer and blend on medium for 2 to 3 minutes until fluffy and well mixed. Taste and adjust for sweetness. It is ready to eat immediately, but it also makes wonderful chocolate popsicles if poured into a popsicle mold or you could use it as a base for Chocolate Avocado Nibs if you want a finger food.
